What happens to your details when you get in touch, and what you can ask me to do with them.

Who I am

Albionix is a web design and digital marketing business run by me, Lewis Sansum, in Lincoln. I'm responsible for the personal information described on this page. If you have any questions about it, email lewis@albionix.uk or call 07788 665072.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry through this site, by email or by phone, I receive:

  • your name and email address
  • your phone number and business name, if you give them
  • which services you're interested in
  • anything you write in your message

Enquiries sent through the form on this site are stored securely, so none go missing and I can keep track of them.

If we go on to work together, I'll also keep what's needed to do the work and invoice you, such as your business address and our emails.

Like every website, the servers that host this one keep short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses and browser types, to keep the site secure and working. I don't use them to identify anyone.

How I use it

  • to reply to your enquiry and, if you'd like one, give you a quote
  • to do the work we agree and keep in touch about it
  • to keep the business and accounting records the law requires

I won't add you to a mailing list, and I never sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing.

Under UK data protection law, I can use your details because you've asked me to reply and quote (steps you've asked for before any contract), to carry out a contract we have together, and to meet legal obligations such as keeping tax records.

Who else handles it

I use a small number of services to run the business, and they handle your details on my behalf and only as I instruct:

  • Google Workspace, for email
  • Vercel, which hosts this website and counts visits to it (see below)
  • Supabase, which stores enquiries sent through the form, on servers in London
  • Resend, which delivers those enquiries to my inbox
  • Google Fonts, which serves the fonts on this site and so receives your IP address when a page loads

Some of these services may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires to protect it.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months.
  • Client records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, usually six years after our work ends.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

  • send you a copy of the details I hold about you
  • correct anything that's wrong
  • delete your details, unless I have to keep them by law
  • stop or limit how I use them
  • send them to you or another business in a common format

Just email lewis@albionix.uk. I'll reply within a month, and it won't cost you anything.

Cookies and visitor statistics

This site doesn't use cookies. To see how many people visit and which pages they look at, it uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without storing anything on your device.

For each page you view, it records the page, the site you came from, your country and region, and your type of device, browser and operating system. Your IP address isn't stored. Instead, repeat views on the same day are recognised by a one-way code made from your connection, which is thrown away after 24 hours, so the statistics can't be traced back to you.

I only ever see the totals, such as how many visitors the site had this month. I use them because I have a legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used so I can improve it.

Changes

If I change how I handle your details, I'll update this page. It was last updated on 25 September 2026.
